Monday Night Anime Titles & Blog Updates!!

With the cold-now-warm month of March about to march its way out of our 2017 lives (no pun intended), we turn our eyes to April; where our anime convention tour is up and running again, and we’ve got some awesome new updates coming to the blog! As for tonight’s Miscellany Monday, set your sights on some lesser known anime titles that we’ve been combing the internet for, and also check out some of our past picks of Japanese snacks if you haven’t gotten the chance to already!

If you’re looking for an anime title about the experiences of campus life one might face while living in Kyoto, Japan, then you might wanna check out this anime title called The Tatami Galaxy! Also, we’ve just uploaded a new update video on our youtube page, so be sure to check it out if you want to see where we’re heading for the month of April (and possibly beyond)! As always we thank you for the love and support that you’ve been giving us, and remember…D&A is a part of you! 😉

Just Another Slash Saturday Night…

We’re pretty sure you’ve all been through this before, but it’s Saturday night so let’s get at it again! After 20 years Toonami has served us old school and new school fans quite well, and they’ve even brought back an old classic…Samurai Jack! (Even though it’s going to be his last time. T.T) As for us right here on D&A, we’ve got some great samurai anime titles for you to swing your blade at, and get pumped up for some chanbara action! Speaking of which; if you’re looking for said action that you can only find in a samurai action anime title, then check out this series known as Shigurui! (It’s 18+ though so be careful.) Looking to see who’s in our lineup of great male and female samurai characters in our Hall of Fame? Then check out our Samurai Hall of Fame’s Edo Warriors and Sengoku Ladies pages underneath our drop down menu!

At the end of the month we’re going to post a preview video about D&A 411, a new end of the month monthly youtube segment that we’ll be doing for the rest of the 2017 year! (And possibly beyond.) Until then guys, enjoy Toonami and continue to like us and follow us on our social media pages! 🙂

Is it wrong to watch Anime and read Manga on a Friday night?

On that note, we welcome you to another fantastic Friday night of anime and manga titles on D&A Anime Blog! Have you ever wondered if it was wrong to pick up girls in a dungeon? Then why not check out the anime title of the same name and see for yourself! On the lookout for a Feudal Japan manga story that deals with a misfit looking for her ‘Prince Charming’? Then check out this little title known as Tail of the Moon!

A New Playlist Title and Other News…

We’re sorry that we didn’t get the chance to do our weekly Throwback Thursday segment tonight, however we’ve got other great news regarding what’s coming up for D&A! Starting at the end of this month and on the last day of every month, we’re having a little monthly youtube segment known as D&A 411! During this segment we’ll be talking about what anime titles we’ll be reviewing next month, what exciting new updates FUNimation and Crunchyroll have for us, and (if we’ve got any) some possible blog updates. We’ve noticed that we haven’t been paying our youtube page a lot of attention, but we’re hoping that this new segment will spice things up!

Also, we’ve confirmed the new title name for our new music playlist feature coming to the blog in Spring 2018. The title name of the playlist is Tronicstyle, and it will feature original tracks/mixes from Dangantronic Bass (D.J. Lewis) that range in various types of electronic music genres such as Dubstep, EDM Trap, House, Electrohop, Drum n’ Bass, Chiptune, Moombahton, R&B, Video Game Remixes, and Experimental. Stick around our D&A Friday’s segment as always, and of course don’t forget about Saturday nights; where Toonami reigns supreme, and Jack is back! 😉

It’s Monday, and the First Day of Spring!!

If you’ve been thinking what we’ve been thinking, you would have thought that Winter was never going to end. However we’ve been quite lucky this year, as we’ve only had one semi-bad snow storm through this whole 2016/2017 Winter. Now that it’s the first day of Spring, it’s time for a brand new beginning in the world of anime, which we’re already seeing first at hand. As of us, it’s yet another fantastic Miscellany Monday right here on the blog! Looking for a sci-fi drama about Issac Asimov’s Three Laws of Robotics and also about a special cafe for androids? Then this short lesser-known series called Time of Eve will be a hit for you! We’ve also got a brand new snack from the Land of the Rising Sun for you to check out, so be sure to see what we’ve got going on on our D&A’s Talkin’ Snack page!

We’ll be keeping you guys up to date on the latest happenings regarding our newest page coming to D&A Friday’s, as well as what’s going on with the rest of our anime convention tour. All that coming to you next time on D&A Anime Blog! It’s a part of you! 😉

Wanna know who we’ve picked as our inductees for our Samurai Hall of Fame? Then you’ll have to check our male and female pages to find out!

On both our facebook and twitter pages we’ve mentioned that there is going to be a brand new page coming to our D&A Friday’s drop down menu. The name of that page is called Anime OVA of the Week, and it will make its debut April 7, 2017! Until then anime fans, get ready for some Samurai Jack as well as the rest of Toonami, as they celebrate 20 awesome years! 🙂

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!!

Are you green with envy? Are you on the hunt for some four leaf clovers? Well that just means that it’s St. Patrick’s Day, so bring out everything you own that’s green! (Even your hair if you’ve dyed it!)

While we’re celebrating everything that’s green on this lucky day, it’s time for some updates from your good ol’ boys from D&A! Today marks the 20th anniversary of Toonami, so in honor of the greatest action anime block that’s ever been created, we’ve (finally) updated the Toonami Timeline page under our Toonami: The Legacy drop down menu. April will be a busy month for us as we’ll be back on tour and heading to two different anime conventions; Nipponcon, and Zenkaikon! (Don’t worry, we’ll have highlight videos for those soon.) Starting at the end of this month we’ll be posting monthly update videos on youtube regarding what we’ve been up to, what new show’s FUNimation’s got coming, and what new features might be making their way to the blog. (The first one will be posted March 31st.)

We’ll be back in a couple of hours with our D&A Friday’s segment, so stay tuned! 😉

The 80’s Strike Back On Thursday Night!!

Hello once again anime fans to yet another Throwback Thursday night! This time around we return to a well known decade: the 80’s! Back then mecha anime titles were all the rage aside from other genres that were soon to become popular. (*cough* Magical girls *cough*) If you’re on the hunt for a classic anime title about robots fighting in an alternate universe that resembles that of King Arthur times, then check out a little series known as Aura Battler Dunbine! Looking for a series about a young boy looking for his lost mother? Then how about checking out this classic 80’s title called Belle and Sebastian.

Tomorrow will be St. Patrick’s Day, so make sure you bring out everything you own that’s green! (Including your underwear! *chuckles*) Tomorrow also marks the 20th anniversary of the greatest action-packed anime block there is. That’s right guys, Toonami will be turning 20 years old Friday March 17, 2017! Can you believe that it’s been 20 whole years since Toonami made its debut on our airwaves? who knows what Toonami Tom’s got planned for us this Saturday night.

Well guys, come back on Friday for our weekly D&A Friday’s segment as always. And remember, D&A is always a part of you! 😉

Pardon Our Dust…

If you’re wondering what we’ve been up to since our first (and last) winter storm, we’ve been doing some maintenance on the blog; making it both pretty and appealing to you guys, the fans! Spring is fast approaching (for real this time), so we’ve did another seasonal costume change as you’ll see when you visit the blog. There may be some future changes later on in the year, so be sure to swing back here for some updates on what’s coming soon, and what will be Archived on the site.
