It’s been two weeks since our last Miscellany Monday segment, but now we’re back nice and fresh from the hiatus we took! As long as the blog is active we will continue to bring you guys more lesser-known anime titles and more great Japanese snacks for your taste buds to enjoy! If you’re looking for a title about a psychiatrist who’s a little obnoxious and unorthodox for his own good, then Welcome to Irabu’s Office may be the title you’ve been looking for.
If you’re looking for the latest and greatest snack out there in Japan, then try your hand at some Monaka, and sandwich the wafers between a small scoop of vanilla ice cream! With March arriving later mid-week we’re on the hunt to find some anime conventions for the month of March, and post em’ right here on the blog for you and your friends to check out. April will be a busy month for A. Goldman and Yours Truly, because our 2017 mini anime convention tour will be kicking back in after nearly a two month post-con break. We’re so excited to see what will unfold on the rest of our tour, and don’t worry, we’ll post the excitement on our youtube page so you guys can check it out! 🙂
Month: February 2017
Your Saturday Nights Belong to the Samurai!
It’s great to be back doing this Saturday night segment that we (and you the fans) love so much! Tonight is no different, as we bring you some great samurai anime titles and some Hall of Fame inductees (men and women) that you guys can enjoy. Next week we’re fully back on schedule with our Miscellany Monday, Throwback Thursday, D&A Fridays, and Slash Saturday, so stick around for more fun and excitement from Yours Truly and our Co-Founder (A. Goldman), right here on D&A! 😉
Online Games & Otaku Culture! Welcome to the Anime Fandom!!
Need we say more? We already know that the anime fandom is bigger than others may think, and it’s also one of the most popular mediums that Japan has to offer! Anime is one of the most powerful forms of animation, that tells a beautiful story with memorable characters, touching scenes, and vivid colors and backgrounds. Get swept into the world of MMORPG, as you journey through the lives of otaku gamers in And You Thought there was Never a Girl Online? Or enjoy a story about the life of otaku and anime fans in the manga title Genshiken. Either way, you’re livin’ the otaku life baby! 😉
Slash Saturday returns after its two week vacation to bring you killer samurai anime titles, and of course our male and female samurai Hall of Fame inductees! See you all then, you awesome otaku you! 😉
An Underwater Classic, and a Return from our Vacation!
You know that feeling that you get when you haven’t posted or updated anything in the past two weeks? Well, that feeling’s now gone and we’re back on the web to bring you some awesome stuff as well as new anime and manga titles! This time we go back to the 60’s in our Throwback Thursday segment, as we visit an under-the-sea title known as Marine Boy, which you should check out if you’re looking for a sci-fi classic.
Due to our schedules being a bit more hectic than usual, we now have established a specific open window of time with which we spend on the blog for our segments. Monday’s for our Miscellany Monday segment the blog will be active between 8pm-12am. Thursday’s for Throwback Thursday is from 9pm-12am, and Friday nights is between 830pm-12am. Because Toonami comes on at 1130pm, Saturday nights the blog is active for our Slash Saturday segment between 8pm-11pm. The new changes will kick in next week, so stay tuned anime fans! 😉
Did You Miss Me?
We’ve been away for a couple weeks, but now we’re back to kick some more butt and strive to be one of the best anime and manga blogs out there! So without further delay, we’ve got some new updates for you guys!
We’ve re-modified the title name for our music playlist and called it the “Dealer’s Playlist” under the returning name; Blackkjackk Bassline. (The DJ/Producer moniker of Yours Truly.) We also have three new fan fiction stories coming to the blog; the first of which will be making its debut this April. Two of them are Danganronpa stories while the third is a Sonic the Hedgehog and Hyakka Ryoran: Samurai Girls crossover. Our 2017 mini anime convention tour continues with Nipponcon and Zenkaikon in April, Baltimore Anime Fest in June, Liberty City Anime Con in August, and finally Anime NYC in November!
We’re still working on the Toonami Legacy drop-down menu, but with some help from you guys (the fans) we can make it one of the best tribute pages on the web. We’ll also be in the process of creating a Vocaloid drop-down menu featuring Hatsune Miku and all her friends, so be sure to check in for incoming updates about this awesome and new development. By the way, if you plan on attending Animore 2018, we’ll be holding two awesome fan panels for you guys to check out! (Possibly three if we’re lucky.)
Alright guys, that’s it for now. Be sure to check out what old school titles we have for you on our Throwback Thursday segment, then Friday and Saturday see what we’ve got cookin’ for our Anime of the Week, Manga of the Week, Anime & Manga Trivia, and of course Slash Saturday! 😉
