Not literally though, but you know what we mean. After a wild and crazy Animore last weekend, we’re back on the blog giving you the best anime and manga titles to check out for your own enjoyment! Whisk yourself into the icy spotlight with Yuri On Ice, or enjoy a cute manga novel about angels and demons in Pita-Ten. We’re not ones to slack off when it comes to giving you what you (as the fans) wanna see, so if you have any suggestions on what our next Anime of the Week review should be on, hit us up on our Contact Us page!
Saturday night the blades come out as we return from our weekend slumber, with some samurai anime titles and some Hall of Fame inductees! Also, we’ll be posting some new anime cons for the month of February as well as keep you up to date on the latest developments regarding our Toonami dedication page. You guys have been awesome to us so far on our one year anniversary and we hope that you’ll stay with us for years to come. ๐

The 80’s Marching In On Throwback Thursday! (Plus Updates!!)
Long time no see, right? This is our first Throwback Thursday since our return from Animore last week, so with that in mind we’ve got some updates for ya! After tonight our 80’s and 90’s Anime of the Week editions for our Throwback Thursday segments, will only have two anime title reviews instead of three, in order to keep the nostalgia going and lasting just a lil’ bit longer. We’re also still constructing our Toonami legacy drop down menu, so we’ll continue to keep you posted on its latest developments.
From February 6th through February 18th of 2017, we’ll be taking a two week hiatus from the blog/site to work on our upcoming fanfiction; Hyakka Ryoran: Samurai S. Until then we’ll continue our regularly scheduled program, which is and will always remain, in progress! ๐

Cut Through 2016 with a Slash! 2017 Slash Saturday Has Arrived!!
Slash through the problems you’ve had in 2016, and say hello to a new year with new excitement in 2017! Slash Saturday has returned with some samurai anime titles and Hall of Fame inductees for the new year. Revisit the bloody period that is the Sengoku Period (of Feudal Japan) with Yukimura and Date in Sengoku Basara, of check our male and female Hall of Fame inductees both past and present!

It’s Our First D&A Friday of the New Year!! (And it’s Magical! ^.^)
We’re already six days into the new 2017 year, and we’re just getting started baby! We kick it off with our first D&A Fridays of the new year; featuring some anime and manga titles that we know you’re gonna love! Fight off witches using your magical powers granted to you by a furry little cat in Madoka Magica, or share the love and empathy you have for another person (er, alien) in DearS. When it comes to Fridays, we’re your go-to guys for some of the latest and greatest reviews in anime, and manga!

It May Be The New Year…But Old School Never Dies!
We’ve all heard that saying, “Everything old becomes new again” right? Well the same can be said about our Throwback Thursdays, cuz we’re still goin’ strong! This week we return to the 90’s decade where such classics like Sailor Moon, DBZ, and Cowboy Bebop have paved the way for most (if not many) of the anime titles that we see here today. Normally we’d review three classics from the 90’s, but because were gearing up for our mini anime convention tour as well as creating The Legacy drop down menu, we’ve dialed it down to one.
Next week we kick off our tour at Animore 2017, so our Thursday, Friday, and Saturday segments for next week will be switched to the following week after the con. Tomorrow D&A Fridays return with our first anime and manga title of the new year, and Saturday will bring us the sword-swinging era of Japan; the Edo Period! One Year Later…
We’re still shocked that it has been a whole year since we’ve created D&A, so to celebrate this momentous occasion, we’ve decided to introduce a new page that most (if not many) of you might be familiar with! Right alongside our Slash Saturday drop down menu will be a sub menu known as The Legacy; which is a drop down of Toonami fan pages covering everything from its creation, its history, and (possibly) some promos. If you are a 90’s kid, and most of us probably are, then you already know that Tom has been a part of your life since the day he arrived. (Long before that it was that one villain from Space Ghost.) So to honor its rise, fall, and return, we at D&A Anime Blog are creating that sub menu known as…The Legacy…
Lupin the Third!! Our Last Throwback Thursday Title Of 2016!!
It’s hard to believe that we’re less than 72 hours away from 2016 becoming something of a distant memory. With that being said, this is our last Throwback Thursday title of 2016! If you’ve been a Lupin the Third fan since the 70’s then you’re already heard of its series sequel, along with all the other installments throughout its franchise.
We want to thank each and every one of our fans for all of the support that you’ve given us all throughout the 2016 year. We’ve got some big plans coming to the blog in 2017; one of which has something to do with our one year anniversary. Our end of the year message will be pushed to December 31st just six hours before the ball drops, so be sure to check out our youtube page to see what’s in store for D&A for the new year!

Don’t worry, this is just the last Miscellany Monday segment of 2016. Well guys, we’ve finally made through yet another year, with all the crazy stuff that’s been goin’ on from the election to the hustle n’ bustle of the holidays.
