Alright guys. This is it! This is our last episode review of our Anime REvisited pick; Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. In light of recent events regarding the death of George Floyd as well as the protests, we at D&A Anime Blog truly believe that Black Lives Matter! So the final episode starts with Panty being kicked out of the church by Garterbelt due to her not having her powers anymore. While walking through a downpour of rain she suddenly finds herself surrounded by people and animals having sex right in front of her. This causes her to fall down an open drain as the events of the previous episode play out. Soon Panty finds herself on the countryside far away from Daten City; living with her grandma and Sam as a farm girl. She says that she’s happy living her new life as a human, until she finds a picture of her grandma naked on a motorcycle – who resembles Panty.

Suddenly a motorcycle gang of hoodlums shoot up the place where Panty and the others are, as Sam tries to go out there and stop them. With her grandmother dying after being shot by one of the gang members, Panty looks to where she’s pointing and spots Brief at the location where the Hell’s Gate is. Panty says that she doesn’t want her feelings to get in the way, as her grandma tells her to shut up and listen to what she has to say. After her grandmother dies in her arms Panty suddenly remembers who she is, and jumps on a motorcycle before speeding off to the location of the Hell’s Gate. It’s worth mentioning that everything that happened to Panty was staged. You’ll see when you watch the episode.

Panty confronts Corset and tells him that she can take him on without her powers and that she’s a hot bitch angel who can do whatever she wants! At this moment she wants to continue where she and Brief left off that night at the shack. Right away Brief gets an erection on sight as soon as Panty climbs on top of him. (I know we’re crossing dangerously close to NSFW territory, but bear with me here.) Noticing that if anything happens to Brief during his ‘excitement’ with Panty, the Hellsmonkey key will be useless to Corset. His response was to order the Demon sisters to attack Panty, but they’re intercepted by the other Anarchy sibling; Stocking. After congratulating Panty on reaching 1,000 men she lifts the bed that her sister and Brief are on high into the air; causing the geek to fully penetrate his lover. After making love Panty gets her angelic powers back as Stocking tosses her panties to her so that she’ll have two guns instead of one. Both the Anarchies and the Demons prepare for the final battle with the fate of heaven and earth in their hands.

The second half picks up right where the first left off as the Anarchy sisters and Demon sisters battle each other at full power. Garterbelt states that everything is going according to plan as Panty’s been ‘de-virginized’, while Brief ends up falling into Hell’s Gate’s keyhole. He triggers the contraption to unlock as he suddenly turns into the shape of a key, as Panty and Stocking laugh at him during the process. The Demon sisters turn Brief as they open up the gate to release the final ghost, leaving Panty and Stocking as the ones to kill it. Meanwhile Garterbelt and Corset battle one another but sadly the afro preacher is on the losing side of the fight.

Corset then stabs Garter in the chest but due to his immortality he’s not dead. He then grabs Corset by the throat before stating to the angels that he’s trying to use the ghost to get into heaven; so that he can take it over and make both heaven and earth as his rule. Corset proceeds to pull out Garter’s heart before crushing it with his bare hands causing him to explode in the process. As Corset proceeds to the next step of his plan, Panty and Stocking ask Brief where Garter is, and when he tells him that he’s dead, they act like they didn’t really care that much about him…which pissed off Brief. He tells them that they are the worst angels ever and asks why they can’t be serious about anything. Panty and Stocking then glare at the geek and stated that they ARE serious about everything, and proceed to take down Corset with the help of Garterbelt’s Black Heavens Express Card.

The angels manage to pull their powers together and use their ultimate weapon cannon against him. Just when the world needed them most, the angels somehow screwed up and aimed the cannon the wrong way – thus proving Brief’s point about them not being serious. This is where dumb luck comes into play; as the blast caused a giant human pair of legs wearing both a pair of panties and stockings, to descend from the sky and crush Corset and the ghost into a pancake while closing the door to Hell at the same time. After Corset exploded Chuck used his powers to zip up the doors of Hell for good so that they’ll never be open again. The sky was now clear as Garterbelt was revived from being killed, so he removed Brief from the Hell’s Gate keyhole as the contraption went back to normal.

Garter then states that he still has more work to do on earth so he can’t die just yet. He then picks up his express card and finds out that it’s been maxed out thus causing the afro preacher to yell and lecture the angels all the way home. With the final boss defeated Daten City was saved, and that is the end of the story – NOT!

In the after credits scene the angels, Brief, and Garter head back to their home. Stocking asks Panty that even though their weapons kill ghost and demons, she wonders what it does to angels. Panty didn’t have a clue, so she told Stocking to try it and see.

And this is where the biggest WTF moment happens.

Stocking stabs her sister in the back of her head, and then cuts her up into 666 pieces. Garter, Brief, and Chuck have WTF looks on their faces until the geek boy loses it, and Garter explodes again. That’s when Corset returns through Brief’s penis as a small grey blob and laughs at the fact that Panty’s been cut into 666 pieces. Brief asks why Stocking did what she did, and her response was that she’s actually a demon; which sparked the biggest debate amongst the fanbase even to this very day. Yeah, Gainax really pulled the biggest troll on us. Ten years later…and we still don’t have the answer to what Stocking meant. Hopefully if Gainax and Studio Trigger make their decision, we’ll finally have a season two!

So it looks like we’re getting down to the wire guys n’ gals. We’ve reached the twelfth episode of our Anime REvisited pick; Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. Remember when I said that the last episode was the calm before the storm? Well, here comes the storm.

This episode opens up with the mayor of Daten city as Scanty and Kneesocks goes over the ghost report of all the ghosts that Panty and Stocking have faced. Sadly, the mayor wasn’t pleased with all of the failures of the Demon sisters as well as the creation of their ghosts. During the report he started talking about how during his youth he was much stronger, and can take an angel out with little to no effort. Eventually the mayor decided to step out for the moment while clearing his head; leaving Scanty and Kneesocks to indulge one another in some rather sexual elicit activities involving food. Not sure what that’s about but yeah…

After getting caught in the act the mayor decided to once again drop the Demon sisters into a pool of sweat as their punishment for their failures. While flipping through the video files he looks at the footage of Stocking getting tied up by the ghosts she had trouble fighting with several episodes back – and suddenly gets an idea on how to beat her. (Or possibly something even more sinister…) By the time he watches the last clip the mayor figured out where the kin of the Hellsmonkey is located; and you’ll never believe who its possessor is…

The second half ties into the first as Panty and Stocking have been killing more ghosts than usual while getting heaven coins in the process. Stocking seems to be the only one actually taking the job as an angel seriously, while Panty continues to screw around with more men to reach her goal of 1,000 screws before returning to heaven. After returning home in a manner similar to the first episode, Garterbelt lets the angels know that they’ve collected enough coins to go back to heaven. He tells them to come to the pulpit as they prepare to ascend into the pearly gates, but only Stocking goes back – leaving Panty to continue collecting heaven coins by herself due to her failing her trial. Pissed off she drives through the streets with Brief in tow, as she commands him to get heaven coins for her while she continues on her slutty mission.

With only one more person to screw Brief gets a call from his father about a party happening in his honor; which he didn’t really want. Nevertheless he and Panty attend as she’s rather impressed that he had this kind of pull for high-class parties. Garterbelt blasts Panty’s phone as she’s slacking up on her mission (as usual), so he comes in person to prevent her from being the slut that she is. Frustrated with all that’s happened Panty finds herself looking through the fish tank and seeing a rather attractive boy. She wants to talk to him but he’s pulled away, leaving her in awe of his handsomeness. Later on Brief’s father makes an announcement that he’s chooses one of the mayor’s daughters to be his bride, but Brief states that he’s already chosen someone to be his wife – Panty.

The bride (later revealed to be Scanty) rushes the boy in hopes that he’ll kiss her, but he kicks her away thus pissing her off and foiling the plan. Panty jumps in to face Scanty and Kneesocks on her own, but without the speed and stealth of Stocking to back her up, she doesn’t stand a chance. The blonde gets her ass handed to her in combat, but before she’s done in by Scanty, Brief shows up and uses his backpack to pull out a smokescreen so he and Panty can make a break for it.

The two find an old abandoned shack with a bed in it as Panty’s feeling a bit venerable, so Brief confessed his love to her while holding her hand. It’s at that moment where Panty decided to make Brief her 1,000^th screw. The two have sex but in the middle of it Panty starts to feel pain. They try numerous positions but each was more painful than the last. Garterbelt drops in and tells Panty that the reason she lost her powers was due to her hymen coming back into place. It was also at this moment that the mayor (now known as Corset) discovers that Brief is the possessor of the Hellsmonkey, so he uses his power to bring it out. Panty tries to stop him but is intercepted by Scanty and Kneesocks as they capture Brief and take him away. Without her powers Panty is helpless to stop them…

Hi again! We’re back with (you guessed it) another episodic review from our Anime Revisited pick; Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. Sorry, no Demon sisters or ghosts in this episode, in fact this one’s more of a calm-before-the-storm ordeal before things pick up and become a tad bit more serious. So without any more delay, let’s begin!

The eleventh episode kicks off with Garterbelt yelling at the angels about slacking off from their ghost-killing duties once again; as he lectures them on why they were kicked out of heaven in the first place. After the lecture was over, a ball gag fell out from underneath the sleeve of the preacher – as Panty was the first to spot it. Soon the girls hatch a plan to catch Garter in the act of him doing creepy bondage rituals by following him into a secret passageway behind the pulpit. While there the angels had to dodge and deal with several booby traps placed by the afro preacher, as they came across a room where they found a book placed on a pedestal right in the middle of the room. Panty assumes is a gay porn bible, but it’s actually Garterbelt’s diary. Stocking begins to read through it as it tells the story of Garterbelt’s origins; him growing up in the ghetto where he became an infamous drug dealer. (Insert “Gangsta’s Paradise” here.)

He had it all; women, money, power, and respect. He eventually became one of the most badass bosses in the game…until he lost his life at the hands of a rival gang. Now in heaven, knowing that he really should be in hell, Garter tells God that he doesn’t want to become a missionary. Well, that didn’t sit too well; so in response God forced Garterbelt to relive the origin of time from the Prehistoric era, through biblical times, and finally throughout the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and now (in 2010). So in a way Garterbelt’s kinky feelings towards bondage may have had to do with him living through time as an immortal. Eventually Panty and Stocking got tired of reading and made their way back, as Garterbelt revealed his hiding place while being tied up in bondage straps along with his ball gag from earlier. He then tells Chuck to begin the ritual as the green dog-like thing does just that.

The second half of the episode takes us into a slice-of-life moment from the upstairs living room of the church were we see Panty and Stocking watching TV. This half is pretty much nothing more than sitcom without a studio audience; where the angels complain about being hungry, Garter yells at them, so they find ways to entertain themselves until their food is ready. That’s pretty much the basis of this episode.

That will pretty much do it for this episodic review, so with only two episodes remaining will the big boss of Daten City finally be revealed? Will Brief play a significant role in the next episode? Guess we’ll have to wait and see! Until next post, stay safe, stay united, and stay nerdy! 🙂

Here we are again! So we’re still on our Anime REvisited pick which we’re pretty sure you know to be Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. So…let’s get onto the review!

In the tenth episode of this crazy series, we’re introduced to a ‘Honey, I Shrunk The Kids’ scenario where Panty and Stocking have been shrunken due to the antics of Scanty and Kneesocks; which is safe to say the battle took place off screen and the angels won. Brief is playing with his tiny girls while Garterbelt diagnosed the problem, and says that the shrinking serum will wear off in an hour – which is about 7 minutes and 28 seconds in real time. The angels end up inside Brief as Garter gives the boy a laxative so that he’ll poop them out. Well, after getting muddy brown, he assumes that he’s flushed Panty and Stocking down the drain (although that’s not the case).

Hilarity ensues while the girls are inside Brief…that is until the serum’s effects start to wear off; making Brief’s stomach bigger as if he’s 8 months pregnant. There was only one thing Garter could do; and that was to deliver the angels through Brief’s uterus – or his anus in this case. Eventually Garterbelt manages to pull Panty and Stocking out of Brief’s rectum, and a long shower later, they were back to being their selves – their sex-loving sweets-eating selves. The second half of the episode appears to start off with the opening scene to the second half of episode 3; where Panty and Stocking head off to fight the power plant ghost, while Chuck goes unconscious due to being fried. So basically the second half is divided into three parts in a ‘Back to the Future’ kinda way, as Chuck and Fastener go at it.

The third half is basically a music video where Panty and Stocking sing the lyrics to “D City Rock”, as the girls go through various music covers that many music enthusiasts will recognize; such as The Beatles (Abby Road), Gorillaz, ACDC, and more. So yep, this pretty much wraps up the episode, so as always make sure you stay safe and stay united!

Ohayo! Hope you guys are doing great and staying safe. So we’ve got another fantastic episode review for you guys from our Anime REvisited pick; Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt! We’ve finally hit the beach episode, so let’s get started!

The angels hit the beach in this episode as they get the usual ‘hungry eyes’ looks from the guys who worship the ground they walk on. Garterbelt has his own little grill shack as we start to notice a patter between him and another character from South Park. (Yes there’s a HUGE reference in this show – even in the animation.) Brief shows up after picking up all of the meat for the girls, but in reality it’s really for Garterbelt. As Panty asks Brief to rub suntan oil on her body, a familiar red carpet appears as Scanty and Kneesocks once again make their presence known.

They then claim the beach that Panty and Stocking are on and asks them to leave, sadly, this is easier said than done. After multiple verbal insults both the angels and demons settle things with some 2-on-2 volleyball. Somewhere during the match there’s an animation shift to the aforementioned South Park style I was telling you about earlier. Then the game turned into an all-out war with both the angels and demons at a tied up score of 20-20; where the losing team has to get naked in front of the beach goers. Scanty and Kneesocks lose the match and now have to get naked – as if! They both pull out bottles of black liquid that creates ghosts as Scanty shoots the bottles causing the liquid to fall into the ocean. Suddenly all kinds of ghost sea creatures come onto the beach; from a ghost dolphin, to a ghost hammerhead, to even a ghost sea urchin.

While Panty and Stocking battle the ghosts; the demons make their escape, but not before shooting themselves in the foot (via Scanty), by activating the self-destruct button. Garterbelt made all the money he wanted, but not before getting crushed by a sperm whale ghost. The second half is a Stocking episode where she and Panty are looking for men to screw. Suddenly the gothic angel spots someone; who just happens to be a foul-mouthed ghost, causing her sister to gag like hell. Stocking tells Panty that she’s dating said ghost even though she’s majorly opposed to this relationship. Although the ghost kinda treats Stocking like crap at first, the two go on more dates and he starts to open up – much to Panty’s dismay.

Rumors start going around about Stocking’s relationship with the ghost as Panty got tired of it. Elsewhere Stocking tells her ghostly lover that she’s an angel; whose sole purpose is to kill ghosts like him, but she says she’s willing to give all of that up (and possibly a chance at going back to heaven or being an angel) just to be with him. Later on that evening she leaves the church as Panty decides to put a stop to this once and for all. Panty (disguised as Stocking) finds the ghost and points her gun to his head; telling him that he and Stocking are breaking up. However the real Stocking shows up and rips into her sister; telling her that she doesn’t know anything about love, but Panty fires back and tells Stocking nether does the ghost – but the ghost actually does love Stocking. He pulls out an engagement ring and asks Stocking to marry him while Panty hurls in disgust.

Garterbelt shows up to hold Panty down as the ghost places the ring on Stocking’s finger, but after doing so, it caused him to be cleansed as he tells her that she made him want to be a better man. After disappearing Garterbelt picks up the heaven coin and explains to the girls that there are ghosts who spend their entire lives without the love of another person. It just so happens that this ghost was one of them – a bachelor. While in her room Stocking hears Panty telling her that it’s time for them to kill some ghosts, and that she’ll even let her bang a few. The gothic angel mutters something along the lines of how much she hates her sister sometimes as she leaves to do another assignment. She kept the ring the ghost gave her as its hanging from the mouth of one of her stuffed animals on the shelf.

In a series as crazy as this there has to be at least one tender moment of true love, and it just so happens that Stocking was the best candidate. Compared to her sister she’s actually the most ‘likable’ and ‘least’ shallow in terms of what true love really means. It’s kinda cool Stocking got this moment to experience what true love really is and that like she said; has no restrictions. There’s a lot of us out there still looking, but I’m optimistic that there’s someone for everyone; and that we’ll find that significant other we’ve been searching for.

Here we go again! It’s high time for another episode review from our Anime REvisited pick; Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt! So this particular episode has multiple references from classic 90’s cartoons as well as iconic movies, and we’re here to break em’ all down for ya!

Kicking off the first half of the eighth episode; we find Panty, Stocking, and Garterbelt in a brand new town called Romeo & Caperna town located somewhere east or west of Daten City. The two of them became honorary police chiefs for the day, only to be barricaded inside a building along with a few other bystanders; where hordes of zombie ghosts have surrounded them from the outside. (Yep, this is a Walking Dead episode.) Garterbelt tells the angels that the only way to kill them is to smash their brains due to the fact their angelic weapons have no effect. Eventually the girls along with the other remaining bystanders (because most of em’ are zombies now) manage to make it across the street to a gun store – but thanks to Panty’s dumbass habit they ended up in a sex shop instead.

It’s soon discovered that the zombie ghosts came from an elixir brought by the Demon Sisters. Panty and Stocking figure out that all this was their plan, so they grabbed whatever weapons they could use, and fight their way up to the hill where they were. To do so Garterbelt told them to grab See-Through, pick him and the rest of the bystanders up, and drive through the undead horde to where the Demon Sisters were. They make it to See-Through, but got bitten by a zombified Chuck. Garterbelt continues to fight against the horde alone, as all of the bystanders are now zombies. He then suddenly meets the newly zombified Panty and Stocking; as they retain all of their consciousness and reasoning due to the fact that since their angels, they’re technically already dead. Garter gets eaten by the girls as a zombified Scanty and Kneesocks walk around feeling real stupid as their plan backfired.

The second half of the episode deals with a game show-like trial called “Judgment Day”. Panty and Stocking are on trial for the death of a ghost named Mr. Petter; who resembles Ren from Ren & Stimpy, with the wife resembling Stimpy. The angels are given a choice by a prosecutor named Tom Croose (that’s two references already) on what lawyer they want to represent them, so they picked number three, and it ended up being a monkey in a suit. Between Panty’s pole dancing on national television, Stocking making a Dead Leaves reference (also created/directed by the series creator/director), and the monkey suddenly turning into Ace Attorney, the game show trial takes a crazy turn for the worst – if you could even call it that. Like the last half of the episode, the Demon Sisters are involved whole heartedly; as the angels somehow uncovered their plan and foiled it thanks to the Ace Attorney monkey. Now that just leaves the Stimpy-looking ghost, so Panty and Stocking did what they do best and killed it.

So how many references were there? I counted seven total in this episode; two in the first half, and five in the second half. That will do it for this episode review, and from us to you; stay safe, stay united against the troubles of this world, and stay nerdy! 😉

Alright guys n’ gals! It’s high time for another installment of Anime REvisited with our title pick; Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. Now that the Demon sisters have been brought into the mix, I wonder how the rest of the series will go. Guess we’ll have to find out in this next episode review!

Awhile back I had the opportunity to watch the first installment of a franchise that I loved as a child, and kinda hated as an adult. I’ve got nothing but love for Michael Bay, but every sequel that came after the first Transformers was kinda…garbage. So the good ol’ folks at Gainax decided to do what we’ve been doing; poking fun at the franchise. Panty and Stocking meet Cocktimus Prime and Metatron while fighting and bickering with one another – as usual. Because they both ate the cores of the respected robots; Panty became Rotten Ass Panty, and Stocking turned into Gothatron Stocking.

The two robo angels fought against each other in a cliché Tranformers fashion; with Panty being an Autobot, and Stocking being a Decepticon. After all the robo madness they discover that the original robots were actually ghosts in disguise, so the angels transformed back into their original angelic forms to take on the robo ghosts, as their armies they had while in robo form transformed back into what they once were. They did get a whole lot of coins for killing the ghosts, however their value was worthless as heaven currency; leaving them to going back to bickering with each other once more.

The second half of the episode deals with Garterbelt complaining about Panty and Stocking’s spending habits and wants the two of them to get a job and raise $3 million dollars. He makes a bet with them that if they raise the money in three days he won’t complain about their habits again, but should they lose they have to be on a strict budget for as long as they’re in Daten City. The angels do indeed get a job – well jobs that they really suck at due to them getting fired from every last one.

Eventually they find themselves at a gambling casino (having no idea it’s ran by the Demon sisters who still are bitter about their ghost plant exploding) and using their luck they were able to make the acquired $3 million they needed to shut Garter up. However things took a turn as they made their way to the V.I.P. Roulette table with a poorly disguised Kneesocks as the dealer; who used her power to cause the angels to lose each time. However they had other ideas, as the angels sold their outfits and accessories until they were down to their bras and panties.

Just when Kneesocks thought she had the angels right where she wanted them, Panty sneezed as a big web of snot went across the table – and as a blessing in disguise helped the angels win all of their money back plus more! As if their night couldn’t get any better they got the chance to kill a ghost and earn heavens as well; leaving the Demon sisters to take off unnoticed and work out another plan to get back at the angels. They gave Garterbelt the money they made on their deal, though he didn’t trust where they got it.
