Filler Post: D&A’s Top 5 Most Overpowered Anime Characters!

Whether it’s speed, physical strength, intellect, or supernatural powers, any anime fan knows that when it comes to this awesome medium, there’s bound to be a “Mary Sue” or “Marty Stu” somewhere in the making. We as humans try to perfect ourselves in some aspect of our everyday lives, but unless you’re the man who can walk on water (and no, we’re not talking about Naruto or any ninja from the series), you’re far from perfection. (Apparently Cell didn’t get the memo.)

As for the world of anime, the rules and restrictions behind perfection don’t apply here. And with that we take you on another Top 5 journey with us to discover the five most overpowered anime characters that many of you know, and love.

Orochimaru117

Number 5: Orochimaru (Naruto)

Number five takes us to this slippery snake of the Hidden Sound Village. As one of the legendary Sannin as well as a former Akatsuki member, Orochimaru has a ton of jutsu up his sleeve; even the one that brings people back from the dead. He was defeated in the Shippuden era by Sasuke, only to come back 20+ volumes (or 200+ Shippuden episodes) later in rare form. We’re not saying that he’s a god, we’re just saying that up to everything that’s happened so far (leading up to Boruto), he’s “seemingly” impossible to kill.

Number 4: Alucard (Hellsing Ultimate)

No one is more overpowered than the king of the vampires himself! Many of us know the story behind Vlad the Impaler, and what happened afterwards that turned him into the most powerful OG vampire to ever walk this earth. His body count is over a million, which backs up the fact that he can’t die by silver bullets, or decapitation, or any human form of torture. This is one hell of a vampire you don’t wanna mess with!

Number 3: Lelouch Lamperouge (Code Geass)

As an ace manipulator and tactician, it’s easy for Lelouch to gain the upper hand on his opponents with ease. He’s overpowered on an intellectual level; combine that with his mind-control abilities and he’s pretty much unbeatable…to a certain degree.

Number 2: Goku (Dragon Ball – Dragon Ball Super)

The saiyan from earth is pretty much the most powerful character in the series. Why? Well, he’s the main character! From Vegeta to Beerus Goku has gone toe-to-toe with them all, and no matter how many times he dies he always finds a way to come back. We can see why Vegeta wants to keep up with Kakarot all the time, because every time he thinks he has him, Goku just ascends to a whole new level of power.

Number 1: Saitama (One Punch Man)

You can’t get more overpowered than this. Saitama doesn’t look like the kind of hero you’d want saving your town, but he can knock the hell out of a three-story gorilla-ant monster with (you guessed it) one punch. He may be bald and slender, but when it comes to knocking people out, he’s an ace professional!

That’s it on our end of the posting bargain. We’re pretty sure you’ve got some top picks for your most overpowered anime characters list. We’ve got more posts and more fun coming right at cha; as we continue with Part 2 of our March anime convention list and a few other things! As always we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all of your support, and continue to make us a part of you! 🙂
